step bumper replacment + rust mitigation

been fixing up the rear step bumper on my 2004 MSC found a little rust

after body mount repair

made a new steel step from some angle i had kicking around

get some black star and paint on it tomorrow

Not that you asked...
You might consider some tabs between the 2 angles in the middle section. It won't take much of a bump to bend the single angle. From experience I know that the can be rogue lamp poles in a parking lot which will jump out toward a Sprinter rear bumper.

painted up with napa "rust proof' BK its white after 2 coats of black star there several different brands all seem vary similar acrylic go on like milk than tern black. i apply it underneath the van with a small 1 gal cem sprayer so i can shoot inside all the pockets on the un-body

got the plastic trim back on late today will post pic latter.

job started with 1 exhaust replacement. 2 transmitting cross brace, cooling lines filter filter. 3 oil and fuel filter change. 4 redo spare tier bolts and brackets. 5 step bumper,

all made a lot simpler buy all the great insight hear on the SPRINTER-FORUM
