Modified version.

This thread has been moved to the T1N section. The Mobil 1 0-40 Full Synthetic European Car Formula MB229.5 BeVo approved oil that Desert Adventures listed on sale is fine for T1N's.

Personally, in my T1N I would not use [the newer formulation] MB229.51 or MB229.51 as mentioned by Old Crows. There are traditional additives that are removed to meet newer emissions control devices standards. T1N engines can use, and benefit by having those traditional additives.

Engine Oil MB 229.51 or 229.52 best for T1N's?

I'm confused with your reply Vic, you would or would not use this oil and if not what do you suggest? Thanks

Brother DA, good to place your vehicle info in signature area.
Brethern Noxious, my vehicle info is in sig area, just not in your quote!

My apologies that I didn't communicate better.

After you pointed out that I wasn't clear, I modified my reply.

The Mobil 1 0-40 Full Synthetic European Car Formula MB229.5 BeVo approved oil you mention on sale is great for T1N's.

In the thread link that I provided there is supporting information as to why I would not use MB229.51 or MB229.52 oil in MY T1N's. (That is not the oil you posted as on sale.)

P.S. -
To be clear, both MB229.51 and MB229.52 engine oil is fully approved for the T1N engines.
