The converter gets warm when A/C is running because of reducing 110V down to 12V for the A/C. What you hear is the cooling fan for the converter.
It´s right, when you switch off the 20Amp breaker the fan doesn´t work.(as well as the A/C) All other 110V appliances as well as battery charger will work whenever shore power is on.
The vent in the roof over the stove is not to close!! It´s a safety device under European Regulations and ensures allways fresh air inlet when cooking with closed doors and windows.
