Posted update. The seatbelt warning light flashing for 6 or 7 seconds and the buzzer buzzing for 6 or 7 seconds, regardless of whether driver seatbelt is buckled, is the new normal for a replacement Instrument Cluster.

Irritating for those who fasten seatbelt before starting vehicle to avoid the beeping.

BAD NEWS.

It seems like 2004 Sprinters usually need a new instrument cluster when the T21 Recall is done. BUT, it seems like there may be a shortage of the instrument clusters.

It is not clear how California will handle the recall. Seems like there may be some stories of relief.
