Weird wall washer wisdom

There are 4-5 of these Nutserts with offset washers on the driver side wall of my van.

Are they a factory install, or something one of the previous owners installed?

I don't know the answer. The offset washers are unusual/specialized.

A guess would be someone added a shoulder harness attachment point. Is there any evidence of an aftermarket seat installation? L-track sections in the general area could be a clue.

Are they equally spaced along the wall?

Could have been to secure shelving in a previous life?

Keith.

That makes the most sense.

Didn’t want to drill them out if Großvater Benz put them there to hold the Flux Capacitor or something.

My own choice would be to leave them in ... they could prove very handy some day...

I would, except 3 of the 5 protrude right where I want to mount L track.

They were added to install after marked shelves . If installed correctly they are as secure as any you will see, have used them for years .Drawing a blank as to the manufacture name .
