Repair: Graywater Tank Sensor

OldWest

2004 T1N Westfalia
The graywater tank sensor only activates when the tank is almost full. The graywater tank icon on the central computer console will flash (press the up/down arrow to stop the icon from flashing--just stays on).

The sensor is just a float.

In my case installed in a JC Bj. 2001. Whether the donor if necessary fit other models too, is beyond my knowledge.

Name: Barksdale 0111-208
Price: € 78.- plus shipping.

The price is not negotiable. I give only the manufacturer costs 1: 1 on, because I had to order two donors due to the minimum order value.

Here, the encoder itself:

Mine went out again. Maybe it's all gunked up again like the last time; at least I hope so. I'll find out; it's on the list of chores.

In my grey and fresh water tanks, I use WEMA level sensors. http://www.wemausa.com/ I assume the Westfalia switch is based on a floating magnet with a reed switch which Wema is using in their line. Give them a call, perhaps they can help with a custom or a non-custom equivalent, reed switch is a reed switch (often used in windows or doors alarm sensors). Their holding tank sensors have a shroud preventing solids to accumulate between the float and reed housing rod, I used on my DIY open floats sensors.

Good luck,

George.
