Exterior Side Moulding & Door Plastic Trim Panel Clips == WATER LEAKS?

Well known problems but thanks for repeating for those un-aware. There may be some other holes under the shopping cart trim that are covered with stickers. May not be on all years/models - I don't see them in your photos. They can come loose and also allow water ingress. Here is how I addressed that issue:

Where did you apply the 3M Window Weld urethane sealant (inside and outside)? On the inside only, where my pictures show the clips, or, on the clips while the trim was already off (like in the video above)?

Would you still use 3M Window Weld urethane sealant? I thought about using some of the Dicor lap sealant that I already have (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000BRF7QE), or, I also have 3M Marine Adhesive that I think is a little less runny (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001QWN8VE).

Dicor is self leveling meaning gravity would just make it run down the sides long before drying.

........OR, just basic all purpose sealant?: https://www.amazon.com/GE-Silicone-Purpose-Caulk-GE012A/dp/B0000CBIH9/

There are new mounting clips with the 2019+ vans. I just bought those new clips with a little rubber seal for $1.70 each at MB. This is the part number: 910-991-00-00.

I installed them and they fit perfectly!
