You are really supposed to look at stuff when you do an oil change.
Yep. Back in the day as a perfessional our oil change would include checking all of the fluid levels, checking tires/pressures, lubing the doors, hood parts, etc.
When doing my own oil changes I always look at stuff under and around the vehicle. It's a time to check things, not just change the oil.
