Hello,

I am French so excuse my bad English.

I will be coming to the United States in April 2018 with my Sprinter campervan.

I need to buy a 6,6 lb (3 kg) gas cylinder in the Baltimore area.

Someone has an address ?

thank you in advance.

Pierre

Bienvenue aux états-unis! Can't help with Baltimore, but come "up" and see the very NE of the US! (A version of French is spoken in northern NH, VT and Maine --as in Quebec-- but it will sound strange to you!)

hdj,
Can you post a cell phone photo of the connector on your propane tank.
In the USA we use small 5 lb. tanks that you can get everywhere, and larger tanks
that have to be refilled.
There are a few truck stops (Flying J for one) near Baltimore that have propane refill
service for RV's, but having the correct connection to their storage tank could be the
difference between an easy refill or not being able to refill your tank at all.
Perhaps an adapter to mate whatever connection is used in France to one of the 2 types
used in the USA.
Hope this helps,
Roger

In the USA, 20 lb tanks are the most common size. At most grocery stores there is a facility where you can exchange an empty cylinder for a full one, although this is not the lowest cost option:

Another common size are the 1 lb tanks. These can be found in many, many stores as well:

You can also visit a filling location. Here's one north-east of Baltimore.
If you are bringing your own tank from France you will probably need an adapter.

If you are not bringing a tank, one place you could buy a 5 lb tank with US fittings would be a hardware store.
