Ulsd fuel is available thru out Baja now. It seems to be good quality, my van loves it, and is priced about the same as Washington state fuel, around $3.50 a gallon.

How was your Baja experience?
Planning a trip to La Ventana and could use some useful advice.

We are preparing the van for the trip down to La Ventana ourselves, this will be our first time of driving down. We have kiter friends that make the trip every year. They say it's no big deal just don't drive at night and carry extra fuel and 2 spare tires are a good idea.
We have so much to do before the van is ready, but I can't wait to be off on the road toward Mexico!

We've been too busy to post in a while but here is some of the electrical stuff.
I still need to find out where to tie into the alternator/ chassis battery?

I have been watching your progress and it looks very nice! A question I have is what tubing did you use on your rack? I noticed your using a spool gun which leads me to believe itís aluminum tubing. If so what series aluminum did you use which allowed such bends without annealing it? And where did you source it from if so? Any help on this would be wonderful.

I bought from Metals Depot. The aluminum is 1" 6061 tubing .125 wall, I wish I would have went with 1-1/4" tubing but I had access to a 1" tubing bender so that persuaded my decision. The bender I used is a 3" radius and I made the bends with annealing beforehand.

Thanks George. There was a mad scramble to stuff things into the van and boogie down to Mexico. Now that we are back, I want to get back to the project and make all the fit and finish look right.
All of our main systems worked out well, with the exception of the Espar D5 kit we bought from Heatso that thing is still not heating anything but the boiler itself. I hope it is just trapped air?
Thank you for your write up it really helped me with the confidence to tackle this project.
