Cooktop Ignitor Upgrade

For anybody that's interested I can confirm that this is the AAA battery ignitor that fits the existing hole in our cooktops. The directions in the text of the video are spot on.

No more clang, clang....

I was also pleased to see that it's made in Italy. The model number is also in the picture if anybody's looking to buy parts of any kind.

We used that video as a reference and upgraded ours a couple of months ago. We used the original igniters and wiring but ours uses a AA battery. But the DW still doesn't like the fact that her hand in nearer to the flame than it ever was with our Atwood stove tops.

I have the same Dometic stove, however one of the leads is hard wired to the OEM igniter. Where could I get a clip to connect that wire to the two post electronic model? Thanks.

I manged to modify some "standard" spade connectors to work. I will cut the wire on the OEM igniter and use spade connectors to reinstall it if necessary,
