2016 Swivel seats on Plateau FL but not Ascent?

Looking at the PW 2016 offerings I noticed that the 2016 Ascent front seats do not swivel (I heard due to side bolster airbags)... however the 2016 Plateau Front Lounge seats do swivel.

Begs the questions as to why one and not the other or do the Ascent seats actually swivel?

I think I stumbled across the answer to this earlier this month. Search for "Factory seat swivels on new vans". As I understand it, only the heaviest GVWRs can get the seat swivels but only if you do not order the side airbags in the seat bolsters.

That makes sense. Another difference is the Ascent is on the 2500 chassis while the Plateaus are on the 3500 chassis.

2015 was the last chassis year that the 2500’s had swivel seats. That’s a main reason we grabbed the second last 2016 Ascent with the 2015 Chassis.
