Default What is this for?

Its a funny little pocket that looks like it is not very useful. Got ideas?

On the early James Cook, it is located in the walkway into the kitchen area, right hand side on the side-face of the kitchen counter.

Magazines? Maps? Yours is a different version than the USA Airstream imported one. Folks on the German James Cook forum may know as they cover all years.

...that's right. It's a weird little slot with lots of wasted space behind the plastic cover. Think I'll stick the inverter inside the space.
