Hey everyone,

I have a few new questions and rather then clog up the forum with minor questions I figured I would keep them here. I moved the d2 questions here because I think it will be a really long thread.

Still hoping to get some help with the caulk that separates the fender and body.

Pic Below

Now for something new.

* Where in the roof did you run the wire for the solar. I figured that I would drill near the solar panel but figured there may be a better local that I haven't thought of.

* my rubber front "carpet" is worn to the metal. Does anyone sell the carpet kit? If not did what was the cost at an upholstery company if you sourced it elsewhere. Or did you do it yourself and if so any pics?

Front floor Covering:
1. Salvage yards for original?
2. There are parts catalogs posted for Mercedes and Dodge, as well as a conversion parts manual (Dodge to Mercedes and vice versa).
3. Aftermarket Mats (could be cheaper and sufficient, depending on whether worn areas are covered)

Caulk.

Don't know for sure.

A popular rubbery filling used by Germans is of the of the Sikaflex adhesive/caulks. May also be used between the body panels for non-sliding door body panel and taillights body panel and body.

Multiple Heat Sources are a Good Idea:

Yes, install and use your D2! Under the front passengee seat is a good idea.

Solar Glands:

Before installing, check to see if you are putting anything else on roof like a Fantastic Fan or a MaxxAir. Very popular.
