I had the 2007 Dodge and sold it with over 600,000 miles, I now have two 2011 with approximatly 400,000 miles and a new 2014 with the I4 60,000 miles. Nothing to cry about here. Just do the maintenace.

I love my 2007 144 WB with a 2008 Pleasure-Way conversion.
Had few hiccups, nothing I could not handle.
I can't believe the number of people that come to look at it, when we are in parking lots.
We do a 20,000 K, trip annually.
Bought it with 45000 K. on it and now have 75000.
I think it is fun to own and operate.

I love my Sprinter and other than an EGR valve replaced at 7k van has been flawless. Loved my first Sprinter even though it also had an EGR failure and a tensioner/ alternator failure but it had over 400k miles. I replaced the rear end when I first bought it and looking through records that came with the van only other issue was another EGR valve in the 200k mile range. Talked to new owner who also loves it. Mileage is over 500k now and no other problems.

My T1N has done 103K kms, 65K of those in the (nearly) 4 years I've had it. No problems at all.

Replace one headlight and one tail light, just had new brakes fitted, front and rear. New tyres soon. Probably due for an oil change.

The plan was to get rid of it after I moved in 2011 but I enjoy driving it too much.

Used to own a 2004 T1N upfitted as an Airstream Interstate. Had it for 8 years. It saw the inside of a dealer's service department exactly once--early on, to address an electrical problem that turned out to be Airstream's fault. I did all the maintenance myself, which was easy as pie and a pleasure to do. I did replace the turbo-resonator with the aluminum replacement, which I purchased prophylactically. Only other problem of any kind was an EGR replacement, which was out of warranty and diagnosed and repaired by my local garage for not a lot of money.

Replaced it last summer with a 2014 I4-based GWV Legend. Have driven it cross-country. So far: Perfect. One of the pleasantest-to-drive vehicles I have ever owned.

Dealer network certainly can be an issue if you need it. I never did.

I am like you, researching. I will get a Thor or Winnebago and must have the cab over bed. I have been told me the gas mileage will be 16-18 freeway, 14-16 hills and careful driving around town, this from people who own them.

In my 2006 which I bought used at the end of '09 and started in service in 2010 I have put 125K miles on in five years. It does a major amount of kid hauling and then a long 3-4K mile trip each year with the pop up camper. I do all my own work on the van, the only thing I have not done is the AC - I had Dennis take a look at that 1.5 years ago and he got it charge correctly. The only negative thing that I have to say about the vehicle is that the thing rusts on the exterior way too much. My van is nine years in service total now and 5 of those up here in MN - the others down in TX. Way too much in the way of rust spots in various locations on the paint and they come from under the paint. Simply not acceptable in a modern vehicle, nothing else rusts like that. Other than that, very happy. Hope to get 6 1/2 more years out of it and up to 400K, hopefully the body will hold up that long.

Chris

Excellent resale value. Drove it for 6 1/2 years and sold it for $4,000 more than I paid for it. Disregard the additional $20,000 spent on the conversion and countless number of free hours labor.

Owners out there with positive experiences with your Sprinters please post! ie.. 300K miles plus with no issues, good mpg etc etc. I want to hear to mix some good along with the bad.

Please post up your model year, roof config and engine for reference.

I bought my van wIth two hundred and eighty nine thousand miles on it. I did have B injection pump go out on me recently but I think that was due to running WVO through it. It has nearly 300000 miles on it now and it still runs great. If it ever gets replaced it will get replaced with another Sprinter. If you have any mechanical skills team at all and you have any problems with the van you can find the way to fix it off of these forums. You will notice that most people that comment on these forms only have bad things to say and you don't see the people to have good things to say. Considering the number of sprinter sold the people who complain about them are very few.
