Yup - stock gearing

I love seeing 18.5mpg after a few trips up to 12,000ft and back (home is ~5500ft).

2016 144 low roof 4x4 w/ pop top. 8300-8600lbs 33" x 11.5" Tires. Solar panels and fan up top.

~15mpg lifetime indicated. 16.5mpg corrected (indicated with tire size correction). 17mpg calculated based on GPS mileage fill up volume.

My worst single trip is 14mpg over 700 miles. My best single trip is 19 mpg over 420 miles (also my longest stretch on a single tank of fuel). I am usually logging about 310 miles between fill ups. My best short trip mileage is 21mpg over 340 miles (9000ft to sea level, 65mph with a tailwind)

I dont even think about it, save for wanting a larger or aux fuel tank. I have friends who have campers on E-350 chassis with the Triton V10 and they get like 9mpg no matter where or how they drive. 16 is plain awesome for a big heavy road trip worthy camping rig.

I remind myself and my wife of this frequently. That bad-ass E350 we just saw with 35's is seeing <10mpg.... most of the big diesels don't even come close in camper setups either. (and we have a LOT more room inside!)

Frankie managed 14mpg on 33's. She had no emissions equipment, however, and was tuned with plenty of aftermarket goodies. The 7.3 powerstroke was LOOOUUUUDDDDDD , but much more efficient than the tritons or windsor engines. Fun, very fun, but loud. I miss the 40 gallon fuel tank!

Best I've seen was 21mpg. That was empty, except for insulation, a beer cooler, and an air mattress (because priorities).
Worst I've seen was 14mpg. That was the same trip where I got 21, so same weight load and aero profile. Difference was I got 21mpg driving south on Friday, but coming back on Sunday I was driving into an absolutely awful head wind. I could barely keep my lane even with the wind assist feature.

it is rare that I drive 100-400 miles *without touching the brakes once...other than at the filling station/getting on and off the highway...in other parts of the country id imagine that is more typical. when i do that, i get 21 mpg going 65-70 ish mph. low roof 144 4x4, 2017. stock tires-vanco. usually use Shell Diesel or Sunoco, but have used Citgo and Exxon. around town is closer to 18, 16 in bad traffic. bad summer traffic w ac is 15.

I guess the moral of the story here is that you might get ok mileage, but the absolute worst you will get is 14 even if you are loaded on 33's driving into a headwind. Pretty good IMHO for an 8500lb shoe box with 4 boat anchors for tires.

2016 4x4, Sportsmobile Top, Thule racks, 255/85/16 33", Van Compass lift and Fox shocks all around, light build around 7300 lbs. In town I average around 14/15. I live in a hilly area like SF. On the highway at 65 mph I get around 18/19. Best mileage yet was coming down the Oregon Coast in a Pacific storm with a good tail wind on stock Vancos and was getting 21 mph.

Does highway speed mean 65mph or 80mph?? Huge difference!
