Default Pull out cargo platform

Can't seem to search for this and was wondering if anyone has a source for slide out cargo platforms.

https://decked.com

Also a ton of DIY ideas on Youtube using heavy duty 48, 54 or 60" drawer slides. Search for "Bike Tray" or "Bike Slide Out"

I made my slides using maple runners and skateboard bearings. Inspiration from many truck bed platform ideas on YouTube and other places.

I made my own using a pair of 60" hold open heavy duty 500 pound capacity side slides (longest I could find) and a custom frame of aluminum extrusion. The platform is roughly 4' wide and 6' long, pulls out 5' to make loading and unloading easier. I had a custom aluminum "tub/" made for the platform so that all mud and water drain or can be swept out the back instead of going everywhere in the van. The hold open slides are nice when open/closing on a hill but also a pain as I have to reach both slide ends to push the handles down to unlock to open and close the platform. Another option would be non-locking slides with a simple locking mechanism to hold open or close. I would do that if re-doing it.

We used 48" 500lbs lock in/out sides from Lee Valley Tools and built a plywood platform. Fairly easy to do.

I found a good source for locking slides if you want to build your own. Good pricing and very reasonable shipping at ~$13/order.

The guys on traipsingabout and faroutride both have good posts for a DIY option. I took their basic design and resized it to fit my layout with very good results.

I was going to buy some heavy duty slides and make my own, then I found these http://www.morryde.com/products/106-...rn=%2Fproducts.

I just purchased a 39" x 60" version from tweetys.com for $483 delivered (best price I could find with free shipping and no tax). I couldn't hardly justify building one for that price. Comes ready to go, just bolt the frame down and insert the tray. 800 lb capacity.

Yikes! I built my trays with $20 worth of skateboard bearings and $15 worth of maple to make the runners. Dimpled the maple for stops.

Cheers,
Greg
