Hi Bellie,

Seen as no one else has replied I'll try and give you some things to try for starters.

Do you have excessive play in any of the U/J's in your propshaft?

Is there excessive backlash in your diff?

Has your axle come loose on the springs? (Dennis's favourite 'wheel tappers and shunters' comment).

Keith.

PS You are obviously in the UK (57 plate gave it away) but whereabouts?

Yes 57 plate tells me 2007 to 2008!
Anywhere near Gloucester?

My brother has a shop in South Gloucester area.

Keith remember being a Brit he is also automatically a Wheel tappers and Shunters club member as long as he doesn't bloody well start drinking halves of bitter or G n T's in the pub like them pufters in Lundun!
As for that Sprinter its probably lost its fulurum!
Sorry tiz the Irish in meh!

For our American members a glimpse of a typical working mans club (operative words here) & and Dubliners talking a frozen pee in the men's room! (A slash in the bog)
Cheers
Dennis

Hi,

Did they happen to change trasmission oils at same (with clutch & flywheel)?

Just crossed my mind that these 6-speed manual tranny┤s are somewhat Ęprecise" waht goes with oli level.
Don┤t have the manual with me now, but I think it was 1,2liters..

If "over filled", like to the edge of the "fill-point", gears will get clunking. Ecspecially from 1st to 2nd.

It could also be the linkage was 'disturbed' when the gearbox was removed and not aligned properly when re-installed. I had this problem a couple of months back when I had my clutch done. No clunking but problems getting into gear.

Ended up replacing some of the linkage and the ball-joint type connectors at the end of the selector cables. Along with new oil it's all good except I think there may be a noisy bearing in the 'box so it may well be back out again in the not too distant future!
