Post RoadTrip - Oregon Coast, CA & Utah

We took another road trip in the Sprinter. This time to Seattle, then down the Oregon Coast, through California to Death Valley, up through Utah and back to Colorado.

If you are interested, you can read about it here: https://ridingroadsandtrails.com/201...-oregon-coast/

Nice!

How did the van do (besides the less than confidence inspiring Vanco tires in the snow storm)?

what kind of mileage did you have?

Death valley is on my short list.

I have no complaints with how the van performed. Do you have a particular concern?

For gas mileage, the biggest variant seems to be average speed. Driving at 55-65mph we seem to get around 18+ mpg, increasing to 75-83, it drops to about 16mpg. Our buildout is still relatively lightweight. Once we get an additional house battery and more water, I expect the mpg to drop a bit more.

For Death Valley, be sure to check out the photo essay by forum member Glasseye https://sprinter-source.com/forum/sh...ad.php?t=62306

That's about what i'm getting in a 4x4 with KO2's... except above 75, then it's closer to 15mpg. But that's with a pop top and awning hanging out in the wind

Thanks for steering us towards glasseye's post up on travels with frito. Great stoke!

That is awesome! We're planning a trip to Salt Lake City for April.
