Water pump and fridge

The fridge sounds like it's running but never gets cold. Also, the water pump needs to be replaced

Does anyone know where to find oem or aftermarket replacement for these items?

Thanks

I should have mentioned this is an 05 sprinter westy, the us James cook.

I wonder if i can recharge the freon in the fridge? As for the pump, I am thinking the pump may be bad but I haven't been able to confirm it is defective. It seems like I could put in another 12v pump with a 30 psi pressure switch instead of the oem parts. Water pump is of course crucial and the fridge is #2 priority.

Hello Dan -

The fridge sounds like it's running but never gets cold.
The fridge in the Airstream Sprinter Westfalia can apparently be adjusted via the control panel in the center above the windshield in the cab. I have not tried this adjustment myself but try visiting https://sprinter-source.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7721 and download the Sprinter Westy repair CD where I believe the info on adjusting the fridge can be found.

Also, the water pump needs to be replaced
You can get the OEM pump thru Airstream (Colonial Airstream in NJ is a good bet - they will ship) or this may be the same pump based on what I have heard but you should research further to confirm - http://gowesty.com/ec_view_details.php?id=2428&category_id=128&category_parent_id=.

Unless things have changed, you should start by talking to Airstream (based on my interactions with other Airstream and Airstream Sprinter Westfalia folks Colonial Airstream seems to be the best in the country other than Airstream in Ohio for parts and servicehttp://www.colonialairstream.com.

Next move used to be to try Westfalia in Germany - http://www.van-conversion.de/ - but it appears that they are at least in a coma if not dead from their financial troubles.

Thanks
Dan
Hope this gets you going in the right direction,

Zach

That go-Westy pump is a direct drop-in replacement. I installed it on the road in ~15 min and it works perfectly. I carry a spare.
