I wanted to let everyone know that we now have our very own Oregon Mercedes-Benz Sprinter dealership. That's right, you heard it first here. Mercedes-Benz of Eugene is now an official Sprinter dealer. Brent Koltai is the Service Advisor and I found him very knowledgeable and ready to assist with my service needs.

We took our van in for a windshield replacement and they ordered the MB part and their outside contractor did an excellent job of installing it.

They have two service levels at reasonable prices with recommended additional services at sensible intervals. The dealership has a nice waiting area and I think Sprinter owner's will feel quite comfortable here. I know my wife and I did.

Give Brent a call and see how he can help you with your Sprinter service needs. I didn't have a chance to meet their Sprinter Sales Specialist, whose name is Lauren Adair, but next time I am there, I surely will.

Having a dealership within a two hour drive will make me much more comfortable about owning my Sprinter Motor home.

Dealer Recommendation

Eugene MB Sprinter, Eric Voss (and Christa)

Eric made our deal happen. We didn't steal the van from him but he went good on our trade, did a dealer swap for the van we wanted and worked with MB finance to build some basic (critical for us) upfitting into our financing. This van was a real stretch for us and Eric really invested himself, his time, and his patience (as I changed upfitting plans at least three times) in the deal to make it all come together. I am an industry person myself, with experience at the dealer and manufacturer levels so I can be a real pain in the a**. I should mention again that Eric was VERY patient.

Brent Koltai the Service Manager also let us know he's got our back any time. It was nice to hear. Strong Service support is critical for us as we are in Portland and MB Eugene will be our servicing dealer (115 miles away).

So far getting our Sprinter had been a good experience all the way around.

Re: Dealer Recommendation

Good to hear you had a nice experience with them! I ordered my van from the dealership up in Bellingham before the Eugene MB dealer started carrying Sprinters. I do plan on having them to all my maintenance though...

BTW - WASHMAN has an automatic Sprinter wash at MLK and Clay on the East Side. I am so deliriously happy about that.

Interestingly the Eugene MB dealer has (had) an "arrangement" with McCoy to do warranty work. Previously this worked fine for me. Today I took my Sprinter there and they told be they cannot do an EGR software service campaign upgrade because they are not able to do the warranty service. Am told it is because McCoy is not process warrantee claims and paying fast enough. Hope they get it worked out. 1. Thanks for not telling me until I'm already there (Not!). 2. Shame on MCCoy if they are not processing these in time, and thanks for messing up what was a good thing (not).

Also, the MB service advisor (Dave) told me I need to replace Serpentine and to a Tranny service at 17k miles. I CALL BS!

Had my 2016 RV serviced in Eugene. Very professional and was treated kindly. It's about 2.5 hour drive for me.
They are about the same distance from me as well. I compare them w/ other Sprinter service shops around the state, especially Wilsonville a few weeks before I get a service done, lately they have been quite competitive & the closer distance also helps.

Keep your eyes open for service specials, I know Wilsonville MB sends them out and they are good at any Sprinter FL or MB dealer.

For my 40k mile service I bought their (2 service) maintenance plan and it covered the 40k service and the 60k service (due soon) for no more than other dealers single service, so it was a no brainer.

Some of these service special maulers have offered oil changes for the price I can usually just find the oil for, so I had the oil changed in halfway in-between my 20k interval.

At anyrate, they seem to do a pretty good job.

Good to hear. What did the 2service maintenance plan cost?

Service mailers for oil change special, you mean from Eugene dealership? $125 or so?
