I saw One Airstream Atlas this year and was not impressed. I fact when the Atlas owners walked their dog they stopped and looked our 2014 Unity over. I think the Unity looks much better. I was in the Dayton area and decided to go take the Airstream factory tour for something to do. Part of the tour took you through the Atlas assembly line. I walked through the Atlas in the different phases of it's production line. I hated the woven flooring. I don't know how you could keep that clean or keep sand and dirt from staying in the weave. The other people touring had the same feeling and voice their concern and dislike to the tour guide for Management. I liked the Compressor electric only Refrigerator, I hate the Unity's Dometic 3 way. I like the sofa with recline/footrest, similar to Leisure's new Unity Rear Lounge floor plan. I like the extra space for the linen in the bathroom like I have in my 2014 Unity MB. I hated the smaller wardrobe and drawers as compared to my Unity. It's more steps to get in and out of the coach, hate this. Hated the dark cabinetry color. I love Leisure's choice of light and white colors. Light colors make small spaces feel more open. No auto leveling, just stabilizers like the early Leisure's. I don't like the gas stove, I would have expected to see an induction cooktop for the price. No AGM batteries, still just flooded we cells. Compared to the Unity I did not see any improvement in quality and not enough things I liked better to give up my 2014 Unity for the $80,000 price tag difference. If I where buying a New Sprinter Class C motorhome today I would still choose the Leisure Unity and upgrade the things I want i.e., compressor Refrigerator, induction cooktop, linen closet, etc. Spending around $10,000 to make it mine and then use the $70,000 I saved for my traveling expenses. Which by the way would get me through probably more than 5 years of trips and maintenance! But everyone should pick what they like best, because it definitely makes the rv travel lifestyle more enjoyable if you are traveling in something that makes you happy. IMHO, their isn't a better Sprinter based motorhome, (for quality, features, and price) on the market today than the Leisure Unity. Leisure has so many innovative floor plans to choose from and Airstream only has one!
