Bought this used Mercedes Shift Knob for $19 on eBay, thought it would be a nice OEM replacement for my surprisingly worn Sprinter knob despite it only having 100k. Fit and finish is very similar to the stock knob, a smidge smaller but features black leather and a black plastic locking ring instead of gray and a glossy Benz logo instead of the SPRINTER logo.
Keeping the Freightliner badge on the steering wheel airbag unless I can find a Mercedes airbag cover for the right price, so this makes for a nice addition.
To install you just twist the plastic locking ring located on the bottom of the stock shift knob until it seperates from the knob itself. Comes right off and you can do it all in reverse to install this one. Shouldn't take more than a minute but of course it takes some fiddling like any small job does.
The shift knob came off a C320 E320 W203 W202 or W208 AMG 95-02 according to the eBay listing.
See attached for pictures. Previous owner drilled those holes in my center console, going to be replacing that
