Who is John Prine?
From the link provided.

"Prine won the Grammy award for best contemporary folk album in 1992 and 2006, and a lifetime achievement award this year. He was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2019.

Joan Baez posted a cover of Prine’s 1971 song Hello in There in tribute to the musician and his wife."

There are many people who have contributed to the music which you likely enjoy that aren't on the front lines.

Listen to the words.

You probably don't like Bette Midler's politics.

Please keep in mind that not every thread needs to take on a political direction.

For good measure.

Again. Listen to the words.

(I admit that he does throw a political jab in this one. But the message applies to all.)

Roadrunner, Genius of Birds ALWAYS WINS! NO FAILS!
Exactly, sort of like Etta Jones, wrote "Only women bleed" that Alice Cooper covered, as well as "Purple Rain" Covered by Prince. Funny, they seem to get all of the credit?

It turns out John Prine's wife recovered from Covid-19. I assume that he is still fighting. Thoughts and payers for him and all other victims.

John Prine wrote this song upon request for a movie and still nailed it.

Of course the details don't all fit, but the general description describes my marriage of almost 49 years.

"Never gonna let her go."

This video must for In Spite of Ourselves. It includes a comment about him sending the lyrics to Iris.
