I like to increase the range by using the under the chin method...

ESP, does that mean Extended Sprinter Protection?

They come from the aftermarket remote start and rf keyless entry system I installed.

I'm sorry I thought that you could get more distance on your remote door locks with the the original door lock remote. I thought your method was somehow boosting the range of the unit that came on the van. Ron

I understand the confusion. My initial post was moved here by someone else and whoever moved it named the thread what they thought it was about. The thread title is a little misleading. What I have done is find a way to interface an aftermarket rf remote alarm with my Sprinter.

I for my use am not interested in the remote start, but could you recommend a good inexpensive doorlock unit that will work with the system that you created to give you more lock and unlock range? Since you said you installed these units at one time I thought you might be able to recommend a particular brand or model. Thank you Ron

Skydiver, thanks for posting all the information. This was alot of work - it has given me an idea to use a cell phone for a remote.

max may have reposted all the images so they would be in one place to keep the write up together.

Thanks!

Bruce
