Default Big foot - stabilizers still needed?

With the big foot levelers is there still a need to have the stabilizers on the 3500 RV cab and chassis? Thinking of saving the weight by removing them.

Stabilizers and levelers are not the same thing. Levelers can lift the chassis to make it level where stabilizers only provide a firm setting.

Stabilizers come with the rig, levelers are added.

The short answer is no, you want to keep the stabilizers on an RV. Leveling blocks just make it easier for the stabilizers to make and hold the rig level

Yaktop, we have an RV section here. That may be a better place for you to ask your RV question(s):

I just looked them up and they’re pretty cool. It is a pneumatic system so leaks could happen but I think I’m going to change my answer to a yes and suggest that you mount them in the same locations as the stabilizers that you’re planning on removing. Good luck and post a video when you have them installed

The sprinters I have seen with auto levelers don’t have and don’t need the stabilizers. Some reviews that I read about auto levelers say the rig is more stable.

a hydraulic four point leveler system is a superior replacement for electric two-point stabilizers.

Equalizer systems makes both.

Bigfoot also makes a leveler system.

if they work ok when you take them off, keep and sell them as maintenance items for folks who have older ones which have failed. (if you like that sort of thing)
