Hi Minister and Rick,
I went through much the same 2 years ago with my specialist Sprinter dealer. Like you I knew more about the possible build options than the dealer only due to this forum.
I wrote a list with all of the US codes in the hope that they were the same as likely Aus codes. The dealer referred it to MB Head Office and they came back approving all requests bar a couple. By memory the codes were the same but sometimes LHD codes conflict with RHD vehicles, and therefore knocked back.
When I said 'yes' i'll take them all MB HO later priced them to the dealer and they were all very reasonable in cost.
The dealer's handbook on options is about as big as a footy fixture. I reckon that they don't promote options due to the added workload/analysis etc in HO that is involved?
Pity as it must be a good margin builder for them and the dealer...
Hey good luck to you both.

Rick,
The dealer I purchased from was 3Point Motors in Fairfield Victoria.
Sales Manager was on top of it throughout and was good on the communication, follow ups on multiple questions etc. Sometimes took a while when waiting on MBHO though I think.

Hi MInister
No progress ,my dealer has abandoned me!
said he would have the new ordering book at the end of march
i just think Mercedes doesn't want australia ordering 4x4 sprinters for a while.
so i will just wait to here from him.
i wonder if any one in Australia has managed to order one?
Rick
