Default quantity or quality...

Interesting article about Thor Manufacturing. With over 190 MFG. sites they are cranking out RV's and as one would imagine, with some big down sides...

How many of the Sprinter based RV's makers are run like Thor does? I do not know.
Will quality ever become more important enough for manufacturing companies to change the entrenched way of doing business? How prevalent is the Thor way of production in Sprinter Based RV's? I can certainly see why independent companies are growing...but still a minority.

It has been my experience that Americans tend to buy bright shiny objects, influenced most by price. I myself is not totally immune1
