CDC does a reasonably good job with this stuff (in my work I used to subscribe to MMWR) but it would be wrong to assume they don't have an agenda.
They have an agenda.
The actual stats need to be related by the Chinese who are so far nor releasing vital infection stats on those infected, nor inviting the CDC to aid investigations /studies.
My daughter tells me that the situation in China is most likely to be much improved over the SARs epidemic which she studied as a dissertation for her Med exams @ Georgetown U.

Yes, while working a stint in Investigave Service Unit, one of my monthly tasks was to tabulate and send to the U.S. Department Justice all the felonies committed by staff and inmates. Like speeders, too many crooks to prosecute so many skate and crimes go unreported. Google, Dark Figure of crime.

Many on this forum are ignorantly downplaying the potential catastrophe this could virus could pose.

Yes, I am not immune from being culled as well and accept it as an unfortunate consequence of life.

Copypasta from the EU CDC:

Quote:
A media statement by a senior expert in China suggests that the mean incubation period observed in the current outbreak is seven days, with a range between 212 [37]. Based on the epidemiological haracteristics of respiratory infections caused by SARS-CoV and MERS-CoV, an incubation period of two to seven days and up to 14 days is plausible.

this site very interesting for novel conoravirus outbreak info.

No inside info.
Just that I have a daughter Lauren who is an accomplished MD who has made a career in Global Health and Pediatrics. I asked her about all this yesterday .

(Worked as a doctor for US NGO's in Somalia , Kenya & Lethsotoland. )

What the general US public are kept in the dark about frankly is the amount of work done quietly by US health NGO's , with the US press preference being to advertise and boast shoot em up tactics and we are the strongest !
Some might say yes certainly but weakest in the head !

Maybe we can turn you into Soylant Green?

Another good old film from the days when men were men and could have a civil conversation, no matter who you voted for, because it all stayed behind the curtain.

Between you and Dennis, this will be in the DZ in no time.
Basically your contribution to this thread so far, has only been flame baiting and trolling.
