Default LOOKING FOR 2005-06 T1N 2500 158 Crew or Cargo, HIGH ROOF

LOOKING FOR 2005-06 2500 T1N 2500 158 Crew or Cargo, HIGH ROOF, in good condition. Under 200k miles.

I need a passenger seat, not the jump seat on the Fed Ex vans.

I've been looking for 3 months and not having any luck. Willing to travel anywhere in lower 48 States.

2500 or 3500? I went and looked at these two for parts. He has a good van and a parts van both included in his asking price. The good van was in good shape cosmetically, had a few issues with the engine, from what I could tell it was a misfire on cylinder 5 (scan tested) and blowing white smoke. But the parts van has an engine and a bunch of other components, so if the price is right you have a lot of parts on hand to work with. I believe he said newer injectors, new head, and some other new parts, so maybe its worth it? Who knows, sharing for what its worth!

I wouldn't rule out a FedEx unit. While they are usually ridden hard, most of them had a lot of work and maintenance. I blindly bought an '04 with 333K. Turns out it had a new motor and transmission installed a couple years ago. New brakes and suspension, too. Of course, you have to visually inspect for that kind of stuff. I need to replace the tires and rebuild the rear diff, but I'll gladly tackle that since I know the drive train is good to go. High-five to FedEx for putting $15K worth of work into my van before retiring it.

All that said, my van still has quirks and problems. Essentially, it's a good "starting point." If you're able to check out a FedEx unit first hand, you might find a diamond in the rough.
