Webasto Fault Code F00

After a couple of failed starts with F01 my Webasto Airtop 2000 is now throwing an F00 and I cannot figure out how to reset it. I have disconnected it from the power source and let it sit for half a day and it still throws an F00 as soon as I turn the dial.

The repair manual lists resetting with the PC diagnostic port as the step after pulling the fuse.

Does anyone know if there is a hack to reset it from the PC port?

Turns out the hard reset is as simple as disconnecting power while the control nob is still in the on position and waiting 30 seconds. After that sequence I was able to resume troubleshooting the F01 code. Resolved(for now) the persistent f01 error by temporarily supplying mineral spirits as fuel and blowing air into the webasto's combustion air intake with a leaf blower. Not sure if it was coincidence but I kept getting f01 until I used the leaf blower. Either way, the heater is running again and I have no smoke from the exhaust.
