2017 144" 4x4 sprinter - conversion with Overland Explorer - $115 USD

It is with great sadness that we list our beloved van for sale. So much thought and work went into designing this build but with two children now (under two years old), we are simply not using it enough to justify the cost. Avoid the long delay in ordering a new 4x4 sprinter, in addition to the time to design, wait and build with a conversion company and get your rig ready to adventure now.
That said, we are not in a rush to sell, and will continue to use it in the interim so only serious buyers need inquire and low ball offers will be ignored.
Below I will try my best to list everything included:
Van:
2017 Mercedes Sprinter 2500 4x4 144” wheelbase high roof - blue/grey colour (purchased early 2018 due to long delays in production and shipping) - van conversion completed in May 2018.
33000kms, scheduled maintenance done and second service already paid for (over $1500 value) due at 60000kms - prepaid plan covers work at any Canadian MB dealer.
No accidents or claims, no body damage, tires still in good shape
No smoking ever in vehicle. Have dog and kids but van will be professionally detailed before sale.
Extra set of studded high end winter tires and full set of chains (never used) included
Convenience package
Bi-Xenon headlamps (big improvement over base lighting)
Heated seats
Crew van
Swivel seats
Vibration damper
Mounting rails for roof rack
Additional aux battery under hood
12V power to rear
Heated and power mirrors
Rear back up camera
Auxiliary heater with timer
Privacy glass
Downhill speed regulation
Two stage sliding door with B pillar grab handle
Roof headliner trim

Custom conversion: - done by Overland Explorer/Lite Industries. From what I can tell this is the only Master Upfitter in Canada offering custom camper conversions. There are more and more van conversion companies popping up, but no other Canadian company is a Master Upfitter which allows you to maintain all factory warranties with MB. Further, this is also the only one approved by Transport Canada if ever inspected for ‘the sticker’ when crossing borders or otherwise. After thorough research (including communicating directly with representatives from Transport Canada), that if you have work done to alter a vehicle that does not meet Transport Canada standards (with appropriate documentation), it is possible that it will be refused re-entry to Canada after traveling to USA or otherwise.
Overland Explorer, as a company, really build for durability, think about weight distribution (maximums for roof weight like with overhead cabinets) and easy cleaning etc. All cabinets made from aluminum (powder coated) and specialized marine type plastic doors and solid metal latches. Further, the walls are lined with vinyl for easily wiping down any marks or dirt (rather than fabric like many other builds that would require professional carpet type cleaners to get marks out). The counters on our build are all food grade stainless steel, which perhaps are a bit industrial looking, but SUPER convenient when cooking as any hot pot or dish can be placed on any of the counters without worrying about damage. Anyways, I will now attempt to list the build out components for better clarity:
Insulated walls, ceiling and floor and all side holes at exterior van moldings sealed as they are known common leak points in these vans (and as such can be hidden rust spots)
Sound dampening spray under van to decrease road noise
6 LED roof lights with 1 strong LED light over cooking/sink area.
Lonseal flooring (some scratches from normal wear)
Removable Rear bed East-west facing (lower bunk) with 3” firm foam mattress
Removable upper bunk bed North-south orientation with 2” firm foam mattress
Cabinets in walk through design under lower bed (walk through if bunks removed)
Tie down latches into floor in cargo area (under rear bed) with bright LED lights to see contents in the dark
Rear outdoor shower (access with doors open) with hot/cold water
120L fresh water tank
2 x group 31 AGM batteries, each 110Ah, total 220Ah.
Flarespace pop outs to allow E-W sleeping of main bed
Removable dinette table between front swivel seats and second row bench seat
Cut down second row bench to seat 2 (not factory 3 person seat) - this still allows for factory mounts so as to not affect the safety rating of the seat - was a big deal for my wife for transporting our kids. When looking at various aftermarket conversion benches, most are not approved and the mounting process was not tested for accidents etc, so hard to trust that for the safety of your passengers.
Viair onboard air compressor (for bikes or to air up/down for off road/sand etc) - access at sliding door
Shoe or other goods storage under sliding door access galley
Galley with stove and dometic flip up sink and lots of storage
Fold up counter to extend counter space of galley
Fold down outside table to deploy when needing outside area to cook or put drinks etc
Wallas Duo cooktop/heater - diesel powered running off same fuel tank as van - will not empty tank as there is a cut off sensor to avoid draining your driving tank. Single fuel source for entire van use - keep some extra on the roof with Rotopax mounted there and you are good to go.
10 speed Maxxair fan, dual direction, with remote
Cabinets above rear bench seats
Full height cabinet/slide out pantry with fridge behind rear bench seats
NovaKool 100L fridge (no freezer to save power and allow more off grid time)
RB components headliner shelf above front seats (stores dinette table/legs, insulated window coverings and spare blankets/bedding)
12 USB ports throughout van
Shore power port for charging batteries or using shore power when set up
NOCO Genius G7 200 charger
Viltron MPPT 100/30 charge controller
All wiring and parts appropriate for Li battery upgrade if desired, would only need to change the charger settings and charge controller settings (very easy to do) and swap out the charging relay for charging batteries from the engine (maybe around $30 part to swap out). We never felt it was justified for us (if you have not looked at the price of good Li batteries for RV’s, take a look, they are very expensive) as we always had enough power for our length of trips and any driving between places we went charged the batteries anyways so did not need the improved performance from the Li batteries.
30amp outlet for electric cooler plug in if needing more cooler/fridge space for longer trips
Solar panel 100W on roof and another site wired for another panel but not installed (always carried too much gear so would have always been covered from the sun so did not ever add it - ready to go if you want another 100W of solar charging permanently on the roof)
Connection for portable solar panel to increase portable solar array as much as you would like. We connected to a Renogy 100W rigid portable panel but am sure will work with other brands as well.
Hydronic Endless Hot water system
Hot water to Air exchanger for full hydronic heating with thermostat
Full outside shower with mounts for shower curtain
Two lockboxes in the van, one in a lower cabinet behind rear bench seat and one under passenger seat - useful for passports/cash when traveling out of country or just for wallet etc when away from the van.
Rotopax fuel carrier (double sized) with roof mounts
Mounts for MaxTrax on the roof
Roambuilt exterior upgrades including their ‘flat rack’ roof rack with front, side and rear mounted LED lights (for under the awning lighting or in the back for loading/unloading at night), side ladder, and skid plate.
Rigid industries LED light bars, one on bumper and one on roof rack - all LED lights controlled by factory light switches on dash (no aftermarket looking switches or holes drilled in dash for other switches as seen elsewhere)
Fiamma 10” awning mounted on rack - black case - grey fabric, no tears or damage.
Strawfoot handmade magnetic insulated window coverings for all windows and roof fan for complete blackout darkness as well as much improved temperature management

This van does not have a toilet as we felt it would not be fun sharing such a small space with a portapotty or other similar device.
This van is build to last!! Need to see it to recognize the difference compared with other conversion companies. No plywood or other wood to warp or get damaged by water or direct blows (things moving around). All components easy to access and replace for any small parts that could fail one day.
This is also one of the few 144” Sprinter vans that can seat and sleep 4 adults, while still having lots of storage and modularity (remove beds to create lots of cargo space if needing to use to haul gear, remove bench seat if only two traveling and it opens up the interior to feel more roomy)

$115 USD obo, reasonable offers only, will not respond to low ballers, only those serious need reply. As stated above, with two kids under 2 yo, I don't have an abundance of time;).
