Default Can a Catalytic Converter be Cleaned

I like this guy's style.

The main reason that I post this video.
He gives some good live data testing for the catalytic converter before and after cleaning. I don't know whether it is applicable to diesel cats or not.

Synopsis.

He shows a live data test using propane before and after.
Solvent cleaning didn't do much.
Soap and water cleaning didn't do much.
Using a strong sodium hydroxide solution didn't do much.
He uses the live data test to verify that the cleaning wasn't successful.

I found the early and later sections of the video to be worth watching. If you skip through the middle cleaning processes you won't have missed much other than some pretty good basic chemistry lesson comments.
