New posts are actually old posts

Why do old posts show up as new posts?

In the Unity forum Poll: Dometic Fridge Poll shows the last post was today at 10:03 am by Bradly C when the last post is by Bradly C at 3:45 pm on 9-19-2017.

The activity of voting on a poll refreshes the "new" flag.

So someone who votes (but doesn't add a comment) still makes the thread look "new"
(i suppose you could consider their vote a new "comment")

So I suppose if someone edits a post the same thing occurs?
I don't think so but the post timestamp for the thread changing with a new vote acts as if there was a new post every time as you have noted. Unless you can keep the last forum member post in mind it's hard to tell that there is nothing new to peruse. Not one of the more charming features :idunno:

I *think* edits also flag a thread as "changed" (but i can't see it on my own edits, since i'm shown the result).
