I want to give a shout out to the service team at MB of Farmington, UT (just north of Salt Lake City), and especially to Don Alvard, the service adviser. Water and battery acid salts got into the connection of my 2008 diesel Sprinter 2500 between the ECM computer and the engine wiring harness and ate away the pins and socket. Over time, it had washed down from the auxiliary battery above the ECM (design flaw?). I needed a new computer and wiring harness. One of those parts had to come from Germany. In the week that it took to arrive, I was able to use an electrical outlet in the lot to plug in my B van and live in it. So rather than continuing my trip from Seattle to central Missouri, I had a week to site see in SLC using public transportation. The total bill was just short of $5,000 which really hurt, but the job was done well, and everyone was so accommodating. Don’t hesitate to take your Sprinter there for service.
