You are entirely correct. I apologize for over selling the capability of the 4x4 sprinter. It might as well be a lowered Civic with bald tires. Stay home and watch Planet Earth.

I heard there are wild animals and millennials with children out there. Best to stay home and browse Instagram. Much too dangerous.

Alstrom Point is one of the benchmark roads for my van. As is Hole in the Rock Rd, from where you can find views like this by walking out into the Glenn Canyon Wilderness.

Hole in the rock is on my list for next trip out that way. Between Alstrom, Burr trail and some side excursions off of 12 on our last trip, my wife was loath to tackle Hole in the Rock. Toroweap and Hole in the Rock are slated for October.

I love Toroweap and anxious to get back there. Let me know if you want some company. I will have my van by then.

This is exactly why I want my van, to get out to cool places, kick back and wait for the perfect light. I'm tired of living out the back of my Suburban.
