Default Re: Alternator 416cdi T1N

I'm back on the road again

Now all the dust has settled, this is what happened.

The first mechanic MD Thai Auto Mechanical
Corner of Tarlington and Cabramatta Road
Bonnyrigg NSW 2177

He installed the incorrect alternator supplied by Autoxcel
Rigg Place Plaza (next to Aldi)
Bonnyrigg NSW 2177

Autoxcel told me they would repair my original alternator for $240 but instead (without my consent) supplied a new/recon? alternator to their mechanic buddies across the road.

The mechanic obviously never checked if it was indeed the correct alternator for the vehicle and went ahead and replaced the original one with this new one supplied by his friends across the road.

After the work was complete and the van would not start, the mechanic blamed it on the following;
- The immobiliser
- The alarm
- The battery
- The computer

The mechanic told me to pay $150 (even though I had been quoted $90) get my van out of his workshop because he was finished the job and would not be doing anymore work on it.
