I really do like that the upside down trailer connector is completely out of the way. I would be a bit concerned that it depends upon the connector cover latch to keep the trailer connector from dropping out. Just for peace of mind, I would probably add a rubber band around the cover/connector while the trailer connector is installed. (I use electrical tape or a rubber band on S hook trailer chain connectors for similar reason.)

I didn't really like that my connector on the T1N stuck out as much as it did, but so far damage hasn't been an issue. It installed very easily on the Reese (Cequent) hitch tube using the included bracket and a couple worm drive clamps.
