Very interested in all this info -- thanks -- because my 2006 Winnebago View is sitting in the shop for assessment of catastrophic failure (45K miles). All the oil was suddenly expelled from the engine while cruising on flat interstate highway.

Need to clarify what I said to Dr A about coolant temp rising to 235 on long grades. When I said "regularly" I meant coolant temp behaves that way consistently every time I climb one of those miles-long grades ascending to a high pass out west. Not talking about cruising steadily at that temp.

Anyway I'll be paying more attention to temp based on what I've heard here. Will post details when I hear from Christopher Trucks in SC.
