got myself a big coolant leak.

Looks like it's coming from beneath the turbo, not around the radiator.

Questions
1. Where is it likely leaking from?
2. Is it ok to drive if the temperature stays stable?
3. Can U use tap water to keep topping her off?
4. SF bay area mechanic recommendations?

Thanks!!

I'd guess it is your water pump.
Temp stable. When my sprinter water pump ended, I also did not get low coolant level. I took it to the shop when nothing but steam came out. I felt that was way too late.
I've just stopped at a auto parts store for a gallon or two.

Ideally, unless an emergency, always use distilled water.

Second to the pump.

Anti-freeze is toxic to animals, don't let it run down the street gutter.

When's the last time the thermostat was replaced?

Water pump, rad cold hose, heater/egr return line all converge down there... crawl under and have a look.
It may just be a $40 hose?

Low coolant dries out the head first, which can then overheat and warp.
Head gasket leaks follow. That’s a $,$$$ repair...
A water pump is a $$$ repair.

I wouldn’t drive it very far, and certainly not very hard.
