Where to get a custom exhaust in the UK?

Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone from the UK can point me at somewhere to get a custom exhaust for my sprinter? I have a custom drive shaft with a PTO etc under the van which means I need an exhaust that is not standard and blows out the side.

I'm from the UK originally and recall using a company by the name of Powerflow, they make custom exhausts.

How far from standard are you looking?

My T1N has a coachbuilt MH body and extended chassis and the converter altered the exhaust to a side exit, just ahead of the RH rear wheel.

This was accomplished by cutting the pipe two inches after the hanger behind the main silencer then adding a 90° bend and a straight length of pipe. It sits just in front of the front spring hanger.

I recently had to replace the bend as it was only mild steel and rotted out after 15 years use. I bought a stainless bend and new clamps on eBay then reused the straight section and polished finisher. Total cost was under £20!

Can you retain the main silencer or is this where your PTO, etc. fits?

I have had god luck just going into a specialist (non chain) muffler shop and getting whatever I want fabricated. I’m talking a good shop with nice benders and skilled workers.

Well i ended up finding some really good guys in Poland who would listen and not just look at a catlogue. Got basically the front S-pipe section after the flexi and the 50cm silencer section for the tipper van but with a straight pipe out made by them to order. Delivered in 5 days, i live in the remote highlands so 5 days is excellent.

After a cut and reweld to add a 30 degree bend, fits like a dream.
