There is an existing thread on this somewhere - I remember seeing it but I must be mind blocked on the search terms
On my annual rust touch-up, I noticed some rust on my D column. Since that area was rebuilt due to a truck not stopping, I presumed the replacement paint job was dying.
To remove the rear threshold, the plugs look like they come out with a single screw-driver leverageing up:
But in fact the plugs are about an inch long and fit into a clip:
Use two screw drivers from either side to pop them up - then some pliers to finish the extraction:
To remove the threshold, gently pry up starting at one end (notice the rust coming out!):
The threshold itself has clips that go into retangle holes, locked in by the pins extracted above:
