Is there a real sheepskin seat cover?

The Shear Comfort cover is a fake.
600 dollars or so.
I am doing a credit card dispute.

My cat loves to claw the seats.
Putting scratching mats around helps.

Anyway, at least a good cover but true sheep skin would be ideal.
Pic is the cat. He tore a big chunk out of the fake ones right away.
A cat will not and/or cannot accomplished that to real skin.

Genuine sheepskin seat covers are available. I had some custom-made for my wife's Prius by a Hispanic couple in Van Nuys, California. Absolutely first-class craftsmanship.

If I remember correctly Merino wool is the preferred choice. It was the species used for airliner crew seats. I worked at a company in Burbank, California that manufactured seats such as captain, first officer and, at the time, flight engineer. I believe all modern commercial passenger airliners do not require a flight engineer.

Anyway, extensive testing revealed Merino wool virtually eliminated perspiration. I had the upholstery shop do my bench chair with monogram. The Company also manufacture ACES II ejection seats used in many military aircraft.

One consideration is to accommodate, if equipped, the seats airbags.

How do you know they were fake? Mine have real looking hide at least and I am quite pleased with them from Shear Comfort. Only issue I had from the company is a CS rep didn't believe me and argued with me when I told him I don't have airbags in the seat.

The chunk was clearly foam rubber backed fur & no smell of real fur.
The cat told me all- no smell & wimpy strength.
