Clutch pedal goes to the floor 903 2.7

Search isn't working.
Luckily at home, but pedal goes to 2" off the floor with zero resistance then a spongy resistance.
Obviously no engagement.
Master or slave or is there an easy check method to isolate the problem.

TIA

Just got the shroud off and there is a nice fresh pool of brake fluid in the foam pockets.
Wild stab at slave cylinder problem then.

That would be my first thought. I would clean the mess up, top up the clutch reservoir (or is the brake reservoir?) Then cycle the clutch a few times after a quick bleed. It might be the line, so check for chafing (not terribly likely).

Righto. The oil is g/box oil. There is a smear coming from the selector area.
Call me stupid but I can't find where the slave cylinder is.
Access is limited from the top as it's a motorhome.
Can someone point me in the direction of where on gods green earth MB have hidden it.
I'm guessing the master cylinder is hidden behind the battery box.

I believe these transmissions use a concentric slave cylinder. Its located inside the bell housing, so the trans needs to drop to replace. It looks something like this.

Yay, van is mobile again.
Bit of a pain getting the box back in again, but lifting it in off the ground was always going to be awkward. Handbrake guide was also a ball ache, but hey ho!
At least it only cost £55 to replace the slave cylinder.
