Hi folks wanted to ask for help as my transmission shifting and RSN has gotten substantially worse. Here is the order or what I did.
-bought car from owner with multiple sprinters that did own maintenance. noticed RSN after a 1k of driving.
-looked at records and saw that 4 quarts of tranny oil purchase 2016. Thought that owner would have maintained.
-3 days ago changed transmission and TC fluid/filter with new Mercedes HIGH PERFORMANCE Auto Trans Fluid (4 L) FUCHS. Old fluid was black! there was also a lot of shavings on the magnet.
-After fluid change, Checked fluid fluid level while car on, in park and level was at top notch on dipstick. Possibly high. Drove it around a few miles and noticed a slight improvement on RSN but still there.
-Today drained about half a pint from tranny to bottom line on dipstick. New fluid very dark
-Drove around a few miles and transmission very erratic as well as much worse RSN.
-Checked fluid with car on in park and fluid level at notch before high temperature area.
I'm not sure if I should change the fluid again, or do the DARF mod, or maybe wait a few hours but I'm pretty nervous at the moment.
