Acceleration and shifting issues 2016 3500

Hi All,

Me again. I bought this used 2016 Sprinter (it was a limo shell) with ~26K miles and the first 800 miles or so were peachy. I changed the oil, air filter, and fuel filter.

It started to drive differently then, and I took it to the dealer at about 35500 mi. I have attached the paperwork from that if it helps. They replaced the EGR valve.

It had lost a fair amount of off-idle power, making the acceleration rough - i.e. sluggish until the turbo kicked in and the shifting had gotten clunky, especially downshifts. The engine made a lot more noise when coasting to a stop, it almost sounded like it had a jake brake!

So it drove great for about two weeks and now it's back to the same thing. They used a remanufactured EGR, I'm sure it's possible that it failed.

Does this ring a bell for anyone? I will probably take it to a shop, now it's out of warranty there's no reason to go back to that dealership - but if anyone out there knows what I might be dealing with here that would be a huge help.

Thanks!
