2004 2500 140WB high roof
I am going to replace some of the high pressure steel fuel lines on my 2004, and I was wondering if there were any advantages or disadvantages, or if it's neutral or OH GOD DON'T!, to applying teflon tape to the threads. I know the threads only hold the fuel fitting in place and don't actually do any fluid sealing themselves. Any thoughts?
I suppose the biggest concern would be the chance to get a small piece into the fuel rail and thereby clog an injector port or something else in the fuel system.
