Headlight wiring issues

Went to change headlight bulb and noticed the insulation on the wires is falling off.Has anyone had this happen ?
Do they make replacements without getting a whole harness?

Yes in the aftermarket, Dorman I think!!
We just cannibalize from a wreck or make some.
Not a common issue but we have seen it on few occasions.

A number of T1N owners have found that the headlamp socket (so i'll assume insulation, too) has been cooked by the heat (which can be caused/increased by weak higher-resistance contact between the socket and the bulb).

It's not "normal", but it's distressingly "all-too-frequent"

Well pulled it apart today ,All the insulation inside the assy for every bulb is gone.Ordering complete light assy Monday.
