enough to be dangerous...
I'm trying to figure out why my heater booster/auxiliary heater will not start. I have a 2006 passenger model with the REST, Heater Booster and 7-day timer factory installed. I bought the van this past May, where the seller did show me that the heater booster functioned - we did not test the 7-day timer function at the time.
I have verified that the electric coolant pump on the firewall under and to the left of the brake booster does work - by connecting leads to it and the battery.
I have pulled any and all fuses related to the system (that I can tell) from under the drivers seat while the 7-day timer is on.
Issue: Cold engine, no key present. When pressing the squiggle line button on the 7-day timer, the countdown shows 120 (minutes). However, nothing happens. Silence.
Issue: On a cold start, when pressing the heater booster button on the HVAC controls, nothing happens either, even though the little red indicator light is on.
What's next? Running a wire to the 7-day timer to get diagnostics? Any other easy tests prior to that?
