Newbie here changing my front break pads in a 2004 2500 158 sprinter.

Anything I should watch out for or know before starting?

This is a pretty great walk through

Thanks,

Steve is good with explanations. That should be good.

You might pick up a few more ideas here.

Hi guys trying to do my dodge 2500 06 front pads but I can’t get caliper off. I don’t see a clip anywhere. They are loose but something is stopping them from coming off. They are the Bosch model.
Thank

Yes, that is recommended.
I’ve been replacing just pads on my cars when needed for ever. Seams wasteful to do uneccisary repairs like this. Unless you have some documentation from the manual?
Also what is a “counterfeit” brake pad? Can you buy them at a night market in chang Mai?

And, I have done the same on other cars as well. However, Mercedes are different because German engineers are a persnickety cult. Ask yourself, do you want optimum or sub-Optimum braking???

I could produce documentation but, I ain't going to waist [sic] my time.
